Easter Rice Krispies Treat Cake

It takes a double batch of Rice Krispies® Treats to fill at 10-inch bundt pan, but a double batch is too big for my sauce pan. So rather than doubling the recipe, I made the recipe twice. I mixed up the first batch, poured it into the bundt pan and made the second batch in the same sticky pan.

Ingredients

  • 12 cups of Rice Krispies®
  • 2 (10 oz) bags of marshmallows
  • 6 tablespoons of butter
  • 2 cups of M&Ms
  • Candy melts

Directions

Melt three tablespoons of butter in a large sauce pan. Add one (10 oz) bag of marshmallows stirring occasionally until completely melted.

Remove pan from stovetop and stir in six cups of Rice Krispies®. When well mixed, carefully fold in 1 cup of M&Ms. Work quickly and gently so as not to melt and crush the M&Ms.

Pour mixture into a well-greased bundt pan. Using greased fingers or waxed paper, press mixture down into the bundt pan. (Again, not so hard as to crush the M&Ms.)

Repeat the steps above to make a second batch of Rice Krispies® Treats. Pour the second batch on top of the first pressing it into the bundt pan.

Once Rice Krispies® Treats have completely cooled, slide a knife down the edges of the bundt pan to loosen the cake. Then invert the pan and slide out the Rice Krispies® Treat Cake.

Melt the candy melts according to package directions. Drizzle melted candy on top of the Rice Krispies® Treat Cake. Allow candy to harden completely, at least 30 minutes before serving.
