My girls love to help in the kitchen. They especially love it when we make desserts, and one of their favorite things to help make are Rice Krispies Treats. We make them pretty frequently, so they know the basic recipe and it is so easy they can really help. This time, we made Easter Rice Krispies Treats Nests.
This is a sponsored post.
Easter Rice Krispies Treats Nests
Ingredients
- 6 Cups Rice Krispies Cereal
- 2 Tablespoons Butter
- 1 Bag Kraft’s Jet-Puffed Marshmallow
- 1/2 Cup Sweetened Coconut Flakes
- 4-5 Drops Green Food Coloring
- 1 Bag Cadbury Mini Eggs
Grease muffin tins and set aside.
Place coconut flakes in a plastic bag, add 4-5 drops of green food coloring and shake to mix well.
Melt butter on low heat in large pot. Melt marshmallows in butter, stirring continuously.
Remove from heat and stir in Rice Krispies Cereal.
Fill muffin tins with Rice Krispies Treat mixture.
Tip – when making these with kids, grease their fingers with butter so they don’t stick.
Sprinkle green coconut flakes on top of each Rice Krispies Treat. Place three Cadbury Mini Eggs in the middle of each nest.

Last year, the girls and I made Easter Egg Rice Krispies Treats (with a surprise inside). So much fun, and still a favorite. (BTW – this post is like a time-hop, K has grown up so much since last year!) And my daughter’s love when I make a Rice Krispies Cake!
Tomorrow Crystal from Crystal & Co. will share her Easter Rice Krispies Treats Cupcake Toppers. Aren’t they cute?!
