Back To School Countdown Free Printable

In our house, the countdown until school starts is on. We we try to cram in the last bits of summer fun and all of our back to school shopping, the questions about how many days until school starts have already started.

To help my kids keep track of the days until school starts I designed a Back To School Countdown. Well, actually I designed two. I couldn’t decide which one I liked better, so I let my kids decide. They liked the check mark, so that’s what they are using. But I still like the chalkboard. So I am sharing both — you decide.

While you can use any frame, I use an Easy Open Artwork Frame for all of my countdowns and seasonal signs. There is a little hinge on the side, the glass part opens like a door and then I just add my new countdown or sign on top of the last one. It is really simple and a nice frame too. It’s also great for kids artwork.

Chalkboard First Day of School Countdown 1

After you print your sign, pop it in a frame and use a wipeable marker to write the number of days left until school starts. Each day your kids can wipe off the number from the day before and write the new number.
