Family Conversation Starters (Free Printable)

Nothing brings people together faster than good old-fashion conversation. But sometimes getting a conversation started with kids can be tricky. “What did you do today?” “Nothing.” To combat one word answers, I created a family conversation starters free printable filled with 60 conversation topics that are sure to get kids talking.

Family Conversation Starters

Some questions are silly, “Where would you fly if you had wings.” While others are more serious, “Describe yourself in three words.” All are designed to make family time more fun.

These family conversation starters are perfect for breaking bread together. When I introduced them over dinner my girls wouldn’t get up from the table until every question had been answered. They had a great time taking turns pulling out questions and answering with as much enthusiasm for the more serious questions as the silly ones. Family conversation starters are a great way to make mealtime family time.

Download the Family Conversation Starters printable here.

When the image opens in a new tab, right click on it to save it to your computer, and then print it directly from your computer.

Print each of the three pages on different colored copy paper. Then cut out each family conversation printable, curl around a pencil and fill a medium jar with the questions. Then at dinner time take turns pulling and answering questions.

Hi, I see that this printable is supposed to have three pages but when I click the download I only get the first page. I would love to be able to download all 60 questions. Thank you!

Yes, somehow over the last few years the other pages went missing. I need to re-make it to upload the other pages. I have not done that yet.
