Hot Cranberry Apple Cider

Ya’ll, my house smells ah-mazing right now. Seriously, I can’t get over it. If you want to get into the holiday spirit, I have the answer — homemade Cranberry Apple Cider. It is delicious, warms you from the inside out and makes your whole house smell like the holidays. Oh I how I wish I could share this scent with you now. You will just have to brew your own batch!

Cranberry Apple Cider
With Thanksgiving just a week away, this is the recipe you want to serve for Thanksgiving dinner. It requires very little work, just add all of the ingredients to the pot and let it simmer on the back burner while dinner cooks. The sweet aroma will mix perfectly with your Thanksgiving dishes setting the mood for everyone to dig into that Thanksgiving feast.

You might even want to double or triple the batch, if you have a big enough pot!

Homemade Cranberry Apple Cider

Cranberry Apple Cider

Ingredients

  • 3 cups apple juice
  • 3 cups cranberry juice (not cocktail!)
  • 1 small can of pineapple juice (6 oz)
  • 2 cinnamon sticks
  • 10 whole cloves
  • 3 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 3 packets of Sweet N’ Low (or substitute 3 teaspoons of sugar)
  • 1 orange sliced
  • Cranberries for garnish

Homemade Apple Cider
Directions

Combine all of the ingredients in a large pot and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and let the cider simmer on the stove for an hour.

Strain the cider through a fine sieve and discard the whole bits.

Serve hot and garnish with additional orange slices and whole cranberries.
