It’s here!!!! The back to school deals officially start today, and with it the countdown until my big girl starts Kindergarten (on August 12). I absolutly LOVE to shop for school supplies, and this will be my third year rounding up the best deals for the back to school season. If you are looking to save money on your school supply list, I hope you will follow along.
This year I will be shopping from my daughter’s Kindergarten list as well as collecting supplies to donate. As in year’s past remember that when you see supplies for $.1 even if you don’t need, this is a wonderful opportunity to pick up supplies to donate to a local school. Last year, my total out-of-pocket expense was $26.79 for everything pictured below (90% of which was donated to a local school).
So who is ready to get started?

Thanks for sharing all the deals! I was shocked at the loooong list I got from Rylie’s school…yikes! But I’m thinking that I’ll just send the list over to you and you can shop for me…you know, since you love shopping for school supplies so much. 😉
Thank you for starting these posts, so helpful! I am shopping for the second grade list from the same elementary school you are (I recognized the knight in the picture you posted a while back…), its just about as long as this one is! I’m hoping to get everything inexpensively enough that I can also buy all of the wishlist items (second grade includes ink!!). I also work as a substitute teacher, and although some of the requests seem extravagant from a parents perspective, I see the need when I am working at the schools. Looking forward to checking these posts out for the rest of the summer!!!
Well hello neighbor!!! The ink will be your killer, but everything else you should be able to do VERY inexpensively! Plus with lots of penny items you will have extra stuff that you can share 🙂
I am not looking forward to back to school yet. It seems like yesterday that the kids just got out of school for summer. My kids go back at the end of August as well. I always stock up on extra stuff at the beginning of the school year so that I don’t have to buy it when it is more expensive. I keep it in a box in my closet and when the kids are out of something, I tell them to go look in the box.
Me too!!! I always have extra glue sticks, crayons and markers ready to go when things need replacing. Who wants to pay more when you know how cheap they are right now!
