For a dessert with a very fancy name this Toasted Almond And Vanilla Arancini recipe is really quite simple, but it tastes and looks as fancy as the name implies. If you have ever been in the mood for ice cream with a little je ne sais quoi, this is your dessert. Yum yum!
This post was brought to you by Breyers.
Toasted Almond And Vanilla Arancini Recipe
Created by Chef Antonia Lofaso this dessert uses rich and creamy Breyers Natural Vanilla ice cream. Did you know Breyers Natural Vanilla is America’s No. 1 vanilla ice cream, and parents now have additional reasons to feel good about serving it to their family? Breyers now sources milk and cream from cows not treated with artificial growth hormones.* Somehow I think that makes the ice cream even better. Also, all Breyers vanilla is real and from sustainably farmed Rainforest Alliance Certified™ vanilla beans.
If you like almonds and ice cream, you have to make toasted almond and vanilla arancini.
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup Breyers Natural Vanilla Ice Cream
- 2 Tbsp. chopped toasted almonds
- 2 Tbsp. chopped toasted hazelnuts
- 1 Tbsp. crushed toasted amaretti cookies
Place 2 (1/4 cup) scoops of Breyers Natural Vanilla Ice Cream on a baking sheet and freeze for 10 minutes.
Combine almonds, hazelnuts and cookie crumbs in small bowl. Coat the frozen scoops of Breyers Natural Vanilla Ice Cream in the nut mixture and freeze 5 minutes before serving. (Can be made and stored in advance.)
Actually, now I am starting to think of other (colorful) things I could roll in Breyers Natural Vanilla ice cream too! Wouldn’t it be fun to serve a version of these with colorful sprinkles for a kid’s birthday party?
In the meantime, I think I will make a second Breyers Natural Vanilla ice cream too. They really are that good.
*Suppliers of other ingredients such as cookies, candies & sauces may not be able to make this pledge. The FDA states that no significant difference has been shown between dairy derived from rBST-treated and non-rBST-treated cows.
