When Calls The Heart – Big City Or Small Town?

tsm 2

Do you ever find yourself talking to the TV? I admit, I am guilty! And when I watch the When Calls The Heart series, I always have an opinion.

“Oh Elizabeth, leave the city and go back to Coal Hope Valley! They need you. Jack needs you! That Rosemary is going to get in the way of your Mounty if you don’t hurry home!”

When Calls the Heart Jack Rosemary
Yep, I am that lady who talks to her TV. Perhaps it is a good thing I don’t have cats…

But back to the story…

Have you started watching the When Calls The Heart series yet? As you can tell I am totally wrapped up in the story, and episode three (Heart’s Desire) airs this Saturday night (May 16). If you haven’t been watching, this week is a great time to catch up. You can easily get caught upon this season by watching full episodes online via Hallmark Channel Everywhere. There have only been two episodes so far, so it’s not too late to start.

Let me tell you a little bit about what is happening on When Calls the Heart season 2.

Still recovering from the coal mine disaster, the people of Coal Valley are beginning to move forward starting with successfully suing the coal mine for negligence. Giving closure to all and much-needed aid to the widows. With a new industry coming to town – forestry – things are looking up for the everyone and the town is renamed Hope Valley.

But just as things are starting to come together for our heroine, Elizabeth Thatcher, with a new school and a budding romance, she is called home to the big city. Back home a very different life awaits her, and she seems to be enjoying it. Things with her beau Jack look a big precarious as an old friend tries to make a play for Miss Elizabeth. (Hence, my conversations with the TV!)

One of the things I like about the When Calls the Heart series are all of the sub-plots woven into the story. I haven’t even told you what is happening with Abigail!

Although season 1 had a lot of great back story, and was fantastic, you would do fine to tune in now and catch up on the story. But then you should definitely go back and catch up on When Calls the Heart Season 1, perhaps later this summer.

Tune in Saturday, May 16 at 8/7 central to catch the two-hour episode. I hope we will see Elizabeth make the decision to return to Hope Valley.
