Frozen Strawberry Lemonade Margarita Recipe

This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of Bahama Breeze. All opinions are 100% mine.

I am a Jimmy Buffet girl through and through. During the warm summer months, I happy relaxing with my favorite margarita in hand at the beach while jammin’ to some tunes. Ahhhh that’s my idea of paradise. In anticipation of warm summer days at the beach, and to celebrate National Margarita Day on February 22, I am sharing my favorite margarita recipe for a Strawberry Lemonade Margarita and a $100 giveaway below!

Strawberry Lemonade Margarita
It is a bit chilly today for a frozen margarita, but I have no problem adding an extra layer to enjoy my favorite frozen concoction. And while you can’t ever go wrong with a traditional margarita, my personal favorite is a strawberry margarita mixed with a traditional margarita. Which is why I love this Strawberry Lemonade Margarita recipe because it combines the best of both in one — sweet and sour.

Strawberry Lemonade Margarita

Ingredients

  • 2 cups ice cubes
  • 8 large fresh or frozen strawberries
  • 1/8 cup seltzer water or club soda
  • 1 tablespoons frozen lemonade mix
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 2 ounces tequila
  • Lime (for garnish)
  • Sugar

Frozen Margarita Recipe
Directions

  • Fill your blender with ice, strawberries, seltzer, frozen lemonade, lemon juice and tequila. Note: I use my Soda Stream to make seltzer water at home.
  • Blend to smooth consistency.
  • You could rim your glass with salt, but I like to rim strawberry margaritas with sugar. First rim the edge of the glass with lemon then dip the rim of the glass into a plate of sugar.
  • Fill glass with your frozen strawberry lemonade margarita.
  • Garnish with lime wedge. Enjoy!

  1. I’m also more of a fruity margarita type of girl! Your margarita came out beautiful! I had such a hard time rimming the glass with sugar for my pomegranate blueberry one. I used water on a sponge. Maybe the trick is the lemon? I’ll have to try that next time!

    • I’ll tell you my secret… I use my fingers! LOL. I rim the class with a lime wedge, then I use my (clean) fingers to rim the class with sugar. The plate never works right for me. 😉

  2. I can’t check out the Margarita festival right now because we just found out we’re expecting, but I love strawberry or mango margaritas. Maybe I can have a virgin…

  4. I tweeted for today and got a response from bahama breeze saying I have reached my limit on enteries for the giveaway? The widget tweet was available today, does that mean we are not supposed to retweet each day?

    • You can disregard that Keely, they seem to have been running their own promotion at the same time with the same hashtag. THAT giveaway has daily entries, but for this giveaway you are all set!

  7. I love a prickly pear margarita.

I’m not sure how to make it… it’s only out here on the west coast. Probably some sort of prickly pear juice!!!
