Baby girl is really into anything that plays music these days. And since her wanna-be-a-rock-star big sister is constantly putting on little shows, I thought it would be fun to add a baby guitar into the mix. With my oldest on the mic and baby on the guitar we one rockin’ family band.
From Playskool
Ready to rock out? The Sesame Street LET’S ROCK! Elmo Guitar lets your child take center stage and put on a rockin’ performance. Packed with fun, interactive features, this guitar includes three preschool tunes, three modes of play, light-up keys, and a whammy bar. The Sesame Street LET’S ROCK! Elmo Guitar gives kids the option of playing built-in songs or creating their own music so they’ll be ready to hit the big time in no time.
Why I Love It – There are three modes of play with giant buttons, which makes it easy for my one year old to play with. While she doesn’t hold it like a guitar, it is small enough for her to carry around (although she bangs it into and on everything). One of the unique features about this guitar is that it interacts with the Let’s Rock Elmo and Let’s Rock Grover Microphone, but you don’t have to have those toys to enjoy the fun. In fact we don’t have either of those toys, so I don’t even know what it does when it interacts with them — I just know that it does. So don’t feel that you must have the other pieces of the band (unless you want them) because it is fun without them.
Warning – all modes include Elmo singing… I wish there was a plain music mode. Also, there is no volume control. It is either loud or off. Great for performances, not so great when mom is on the phone.
Great Gift For – Intended for ages 18 months + (Baby girl is 14 months big girl is 4 1/2, and they both love it.)
Buy It – The Let’s rock Elmo Guitar is available on Amazon. retail $24.99, current price $19.89.
