No-Bake Chocolate Twigs Christmas Treats

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Dollar General for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine.

Running short on time (and energy) to whip up something for a gift, party or treat for the kiddos? I have the perfect, easy, no-bake recipe for you. It is an adaptation of my mom’s annual “recipe” for one of my favorite Christmas treats, and it is sure to be a crowd pleaser in your home too.

The best part about this recipe is that you can make a large batch in a matter of minutes or make just a few at a time to satisfy a craving. Since we are always needing small last-minute gifts this time of year, I picked up my ingredients and gift boxes at Dollar General. I was actually quite surprised how many ingredients for holiday meals and baking lined the shelves. Even though I was on a mission to make my Chocolate Twigs Treats, I nearly bought ingredients to make something else instead.

Without further ado, the easiest treat you will make this holiday season.

No Bake Chocolate Pretzel Treats

Ingredients

  • Chocolate Bar(s) I usually make some with dark and some with milk chocolate
  • Pretzel Sticks

Melt chocolate and mix in pretzel sticks. In order to make your nests look right, break some of the pretzel sticks in half while mixing. Once thoroughly coated, spoon out piles of chocolate covered pretzel sticks onto parchment paper. Set aside overnight to harden. Note: you can place in refrigerator to chill quickly, but don’t leave them in or the chocolate looks funny when it warms up again. Once hardened pile into a gift box for a sweet surprise or serve.

No Bake Christmas Cookie Chocolate Gift

Total time 10 minutes, and that’s with assistance from my four-year-old helper.

I mixed up a small box full for a quick thank you.

I found XL Hershey’s Dark and Milk Chocolate bars and Rold Gold Pretzel Sticks at Dollar General. One XL bar plus several handfuls of  pretzels yields about 18 treats. A regular-size bar yields approximately 10 treats. (Yes, I know very precise measurements. You really don’t need them.)

BTW – they are cute with sprinkles added to them prior to hardening, but I forgot the sprinkles at the store…
