Yesterday Michelle Obama revealed the government’s new “My Plate,” which replaces the Food Pyramid we all grew up with. The My Plate is suppose to make it easier to understand the ideal proportions that we (and our families) should be eating. Gone is the “meats and beans” category, which is now replaced with “protein” to better reflect the vegetarian diet as well. It’s important to teach our kids healthy eating habits early on so hopefully they willcontinue them throughout their lives.
