No-Carve Hot Glue Spider Web Pumpkin
I am so pleased with how my hot glue spider web pumpkin turned out. It was easy and quick too. Although I decided to use a real pumpkin for my creation (mostly so I can eat the pumpkin seeds later), it would work well on a faux pumpkin too.
Materials
- Pumpkin (real or faux)
- Pencil
- Hot glue gun
- Silver paint
- Paintbrush
- Plastic spider rings
Directions
Begin by drawing a spider web on your pumpkin with a pencil.
Then trace the spider web with a line of hot glue. I found it easiest to lay the pumpkin in my lap to do this. Start with the straight lines and then move to the curves.
Once the glue has fully cooled, paint the hot glue lines silver. Again, I found it easiest to lay the pumpkin in my lap. Be gentle because the hot glue will peel off the pumpkin if you aren’t careful.
Cut the ring off the back of a couple of plastic spiders and hot glue in place on the spider web.
