My First Mother’s Day As A Mom Of Three

This post is sponsored by Pampers, but all opinions are my own.

We always planned for two kids. Two daughters, more precisely. In our minds, that was the image of our family of four. But when my youngest was about 18 months old, my image of our family began to change. I had a new picture in my mind, a family of five.

Baby #3 Announcement

My husband didn’t jump onboard with my new picture right away. After all, I was changing the plan. The plan we both agreed on. But I had this nagging feeling, our family needed just one more. And thus, I nagged him.

I tried to settle my uncertainty and told myself that our family of four was perfect the way it was. But I couldn’t stop the feeling that we needed, I needed, one more baby.

Eventually, my husband came around. Perhaps I wore him down, but his heart changed and he too could see my vision of our family of five.

This year, I celebrate my first Mother’s Day as a mother of three.

The Suburban Mom Family of Five

Our family portrait has changed. It has become exactly what I pictured, and my heart is full.

Looking down at my sweet baby, I already can’t imagine her not being in our lives. She is 17 weeks old, and she has stolen our hearts. She completes our family perfectly.

While my pregnancy announcement last summer may have surprised some of our friends, for me it was years in the making. My 10th Mother’s Day may be my sweetest one yet.
