Getting Ready For Baby With Green Works

In the days and weeks before baby’s arrival, we have had a lot of cleaning to do. A lot of cleaning. The few baby items we kept since our last was a baby were covered in five years of life. Not to mention that we had been using her room for storage. To get everything clean and ready for baby, I turned to Green Works for a more natural clean without harsh chemicals. We had a lot of work cut out for us, but the room, the clothes and the toys are now ready for her arrival.

Why Green Works?

I discovered Green Works last time I was expecting a baby, and I have been using them ever since. I like the products because they are 95% to 99% naturally derived, which means they are made with plant-based cleaning agents instead of harsh chemicals.

FYI – I was curious about the other 1 – 5%, and I found this on the Green Works website:

A combination of preservatives, fragrances and dyes makes up a very small percentage of our ingredients list. Since natural ingredients can go bad, the preservatives help our products last longer. We’re still working hard to find natural alternatives for our fragrances and preservatives, so the entire line can be 100% natural.

In addition to being naturally derived, Green Works products are biodegradable. That means Green Works products are not only safer for my family now, but they break down after use making them safer for our future.

Getting Ready For Baby

One of my favorite cleaning “cheats” are cleaning wipes. I could spray and wipe, but sometimes it just so much easier to grab a wipe and clean up. Green Works wipes made cleaning dusty/grimy old toys like new again.

Along with baby comes lots of laundry. I’ve already done several loads making sure her sheets, blankets and all of those tiny clothes are ready for her arrival. Green Works laundry detergent has the added benefit of being dye- and fragrance-free, perfect for baby.

The other green Works product I love is the All-Purpose cleaner. I use it for everything, but most importantly one K’s chores is cleaning the table after meals. There is no way I would hand her just any cleaner, it is important to me that uses something without harsh chemicals that still cleans well. Green Works is a great fit. She loves the lemon fresh scent, and I love the streak-free clean table.

Hi Jen, This is absolutely true! I have a single kid and at the time of his birth, we had done a lot of cleaning. This seems a really useful product. We always try to use green and environment-friendly products.
