Celebrate National Teddy Bear Day With $5 Build A Bear Workshop

This National Teddy Bear Day post is sponsored by Build-A-Bear Workshop.

What is the name of your child’s special Teddy Bear? In our house, K’s is Pink Bear and Sissy has two Big Bear and Pink Bear. They are well-loved and a bit worn from lots of cuddles and tumbles in the washer, but my girls wouldn’t trade their special bears for anything. Sure they have oodles of other stuffed friends, but those bears hold a special place of honor. There’s something magical about a special teddy bear.

National Teddy Bear Day

On September 9, Build-A-Bear Workshop will celebrate National Teddy Bear day with a special $5 offer to help more children have a Teddy Bear to love. For one day only, Build-A-Bear Workshop will offer a Limited-Edition National Teddy Bear Day furry friend for just $5. Two other Build-A-Bear Workshop Teddy Bears, Lil’ Vanilla Bean Cub and Lil’ Hazelnut Cub, will be available for $5 each.

What makes this offer even more special is that for every $5 bear purchased, Build-A-Bear Workshop will donate a furry friend to Toys for Tots.

National Teddy Bear Build A Bear

This offer is only available in stores on September 9, 2016 for these three teddy bears. Guests can purchase a maximum of 5 $5 bears while supplies last. Clothes and accessories are sold separately.

My daughters love visiting Build-A-Bear Workshop, so I plan to use this special offer as a teaching tool. I am going to take them to Build-A-Bear Workshop Friday and allow them to each purchase a $5 bear to be donated to a stuffed animal drive currently being held at my daughter’s school. For $5 they will get to have fun making a bear for child in need and know that another bear was donated too.

I am excited about the special Teddy Bear offer, and I hope lots of Teddy Bears find special homes that day.

Happy National Teddy Bear Day!

  4. My daughter calls her favorite teddy bear her “baby sister”. She’s done that since she could talk. I don’t have any other children so it was adorable and sad. However, I just found out I am expecting come April 2017!

  5. My daughter’s favorite is Brother Bear. There is 15 years difference in my kids. When her brother went into the Air Force and we went to his graduation for basic training he bought her a bear dressed in Air Force gear. His name became brother bear like her brother and sleeps with her every night.
