Father’s Day Fun With Nerf

Dad is really just a big kid. This has never been more clear to me than as my daughters discovered the world of Star Wars. While Dad was always willing to sit and play dolls when asked, he is thrilled when he is asked to play Star Wars action figures with the girls. Imagine his excitement when he was able to move from action figures to role play with a set of Nerf Blasters and a little imagination.

This is a sponsored post.

Family Nerf Blaster

They may look tough, but I am telling you — they are all giggles!

If you hear laughter and pew, pew, pew coming from my back yard this summer, you know it’s my crew engaged in a Nerf battle.

I am really not sure who was more excited about the new blasters — my little kids or my big kid. He could not wait to open them. Knowing very little about Nerf Blasters myself (having owned one last in the ’80s), we were all amazed by the configurations that could be created by the NERF N-Strike Modulus ECS-10 Blaster.  We were also excited when we realized that the modular pieces from the ECS-10 blaster also clip onto the NERF N-Strike Elite Stryfe Blaster.

Duracell #TRUPowerUpFun

Once everyone had assembled the blasters to their liking and installed the AA Duracell batteries, it was time for some fun.

Nerf Blaster Fun

Nerf Blaster

There was a lot of laughter as the kids ducked behind trees and chairs to blast each other — dad even climbed into the playhouse. The Stormtrooper (dad) was no match for the Rebel forces (kids).

Father's Day Nerf Blaster

Although Nerf Blasters might not have been my first idea for a Father’s Day gift, I kind of wish I saved them to give to him for Father’s Day. They have had so much fun playing with them — I would have won Father’s Day for sure! But I can’t be sad for all of the fun they have had playing with them over the last few weeks.

Nerf Blaster Games

Even though they are neon-bright, darts keep going missing so I think an extra pack of darts might be in order for Father’s Day.

New Nerf Blasters

NERF N-Strike Modulus ECS-10 Blaster:

  • Flexible blaster has more than 30 combinations
  • Features targeting scope, drop grip and dual-rail barrel
  • Blaster can launch the included darts at targets up to 90 feet away
  • Blaster does not include Duracell batteries and requires 4 AA batteries

NERF N-Strike Elite Stryfe Blaster:

  • 6-dart dynamo lets you launch Elite Darts up to 75 feet one-handed
  • Blaster fires darts up to 75 feet
  • Blaster does not include Duracell batteries and requires 4 AA batteries

We have a bubble machine that uses Duracell batteries. The little guys have so much fun that it should be called a giggle machine.
