Chocolate Oatmeal Banana Smoothie

It has been eight months since I added a daily smoothie to my routine, and I am still going strong. I am constantly experimenting with new smoothie flavors I love the flexibility of being able to add in whichever ingredients are in the house. It’s a great way to add extra vitamins and nutrients while enjoying a sweet treat. My latest smoothie creation is a delicious Chocolate Peanut Butter Oatmeal Smoothie.

Chocolate Oatmeal Banana Smoothie

This Chocolate Peanut Butter Oatmeal Smoothie is brought to you in partnership with TruMoo.

A chocolate-milk based smoothie may sound like dessert, but this smoothie is packed with so much goodness it makes an excellent breakfast, lunch or snack with just a hint of sweet. Made with TruMoo Calcium Plus this smoothie is packed with bone-building calcium it is a great smoothie for moms and kids!

Chocolate Smoothie

In addition to calcium-rich TruMoo I added flaxseed for Omega-3s, peanut butter powder for protein and a whole banana. There is so much goodness packed into this very filling smoothie. With a full cup of oatmeal, you won’t be hungry when you finish.

I like to use peanut butter powder in my smoothies because it blends so nicely, plus I can avoid all the extra oils and still get the protein benefits. But if you don’t have any, creamy peanut butter will work too.

TruMoo Calcium Plus

According to the National Institutes of Health, girls ages 9-18, boys ages 9-13, women over 50, and men over 70 are failing to meet their daily calcium requirements from diet alone. Incorporating foods and drinks rich in calcium, like TruMoo Calcium Plus, can help meet important calcium needs.

TruMoo Calcium Plus is an excellent source of calcium with 50% more calcium per serving than regular low-fat white milk. And like regular TruMoo, it also has no artificial growth hormones and no high fructose corn syrup.

So go ahead and make your family a sweet Chocolate Oatmeal Banana Smoothie with TruMoo. They will be excited about the taste, and you will be excited about all of the extra goodness they are getting.
