Sometimes Less Is More

tsm 2

When I first became a mom, I felt overwhelmed with options. There were so many brands and so many products to choose from. Ultimately, I took the easy way — I fell back on products and brands my mom used on me when I was little. It was easy, and I loved using products I was familiar with.

One of those products was Johnson’s Baby. I love Johnson’s Baby. But as much I loved the fresh clean smell of a Johnson’s baby, I didn’t love the ingredients. And I wasn’t the only one.

While I experimented with other brands to try to find a replacement that I like as much with a simpler list of ingredients, others protested loudly on behalf of all babies.

Johnson’s Baby listened.

We love babies. And the last thing we want is for you to worry about safety. That’s our promise to you. After we heard that some moms were concerned about the ingredients in our products, we made the decision to stand up and change our product formulas—not because of safety, but for peace of mind.

~Johnson’s Baby

That is the power of the mom voice. A company with more than 100 years of experience making baby products listened to moms and removed the ingredient that was at the center of much controversy. Although it maintains the old formula was safe, no one can argue the “improved formula” is an improvement. When it comes to ingredients — less is more.

The Improved Formula Johnson’s Baby line is:

  • Paraben Free
  • Phthalate Free
  • And Quaternium-15 Free

Like many other companies, Johnson’s is listening to consumers’ desire for simpler products with less harsh chemicals for babies and for themselves.

Thanks for listening Johnson’s.

I’m very glad to hear that they cleaned up their products. I try to go organic as much as I can.

Hi! I love Johnson and Johnson’s Baby Products. They smell so good, are gentle, and work very well. When my grandson was born, I gave my son and daughter in-law a big basket full of these products. I’m glad that they made them even gentler than they have been too. 🙂

I am a firm believer that less is more in most situations. This is one of them for sure. Even though my kids are older I still love the J&J Baby products. I know they are easy on my kids skin. That’s what matters most.

I’ve always loved Johnson’s products, and I had no idea they had taken out the bad stuff. This was a topic of conversation in my birth group recently, this is good to know!
