Playtex Diaper Genie Diaper Smart Caddy Review ~ Giveaway (10 Winners)

There are roughly 1 million things you need when you have a baby, and approximately a half million more that you don’t need but you want or have anyway. Those are rough numbers, of course, but when you are a mom staring at piles of stuff — it certainly feels accurate.

With all of that stuff, organization is a necessity to survival. (‘Cause you know you won’t be getting any sleep — at least if you are organized you will know where things are.) And one of the most important things to keep organized are diapering necessities that you need to have at arm’s length — at all times.

Every baby book and magazine you read will remind you of the utmost importance of having all of your diapering supplies together and close. You can’t leave baby alone for even a second on the changing table while you hunt down supplies. That’s why every mom (and dad) needs something to keep diapers, wipes, lotions, creams, hand sanitizer and even small toys close at hand and organized.

Thus the diaper caddy was born. Handy and efficient, it corrals all of your basic supplies in one tidy unity.

But what most magazines and books fail to mention is that in the early days you will often find yourself changing diapers everywhere — except the changing table. On mom and dad’s bed, on the couch, on the floor in the playroom while supervising big sister/brother. The changing table might not even get used until baby is several months old.

So, where do you keep the diaper caddy?

(I’ll give you a hint, it might not be the changing table.)

As part of the Playtex Baby Mom Trust, I discovered the Playtex Diaper Genie Diaper Smart Caddy, which converts from one large caddy into two smaller caddies allowing you to diaper necessities in two places at once! So now you can pick the two places you diaper most to set up a diapering station. (If you are like most moms I know, your bedroom is a safe place to start with one of the caddies.)

Designed to work as two separate caddies or combined to form one large caddy, Diaper Genie Diaper Smart Caddy is flexible and useful from day one.

Unlike my daughters giant size 5 diapers (pictured above), newborn diapers are tiny (gosh I miss the teeny tinies!). You can fit a lot of diapers in one caddy along with wipes, hand sanitizer, cream, lotion etc. Then when your babe gets big (like mine, sniff), you can combine the caddy and use one side for wipes and one side for diapers — still with plenty of room for everything.

It’s pretty smart, actually.

The two sections are held together by Velcro and also have hanging straps, if you are so inclined. Tip – as a mom of two girls, Velcro sticks to everything. While you are using them as separate caddies, I would cover the “sticky” side of the Velcro with a strip of felt.

As an added feature, the Playtex Diaper Genie Diaper Smart Caddy is also water resistant, which means it can be wiped clean.

  1. I would keep this at my in-laws’ house, we are over there every weekend and it would be nice to not have to lug the diaper bag with us!

  2. If I am lucky enough to win, I will be giving this to my daughter, who is due in July. I have no idea where she would keep it, but I know she would love to have it.

  3. I would keep it in my car for just in case emergencies. Like if I had to go to the hospital for my son and someone like a family member were home to watch my little one! I know I would be absent minded and forget something.

  4. This would be a great help to keep everything together! It goes without saying that this would be great near the changing table… but, as all experienced parents know… there WILL be times where you hear those dreaded words… “Honey! Bring me the diaper & wipes NOW!”… Emergency grab bag already prepared… lol

  5. I will keep one on my car because I drive every single. day and the other one I will keep on my daughter’s room. We are doing a room for her and this will be perfect. I like to be organize and this is an amazing idea.

  6. My daughter is pregnant and due in August, so I don’t know where she will keep it. She’s moving to a bigger house and probably in her room with the baby.

  7. this one would be kept at my sisters and prob by her bed they have a small room 1 4 year old alr then just had a baby girl so would be perfect and accommodating ty u for the chance 🙂

    • You need a refill pack under the box to keep it up like it is in the picture. But yeah, fits perfect (with storage for the next pack!).

  8. This would be for my sister who is having her first baby and she’s planning to put it in the living room to use during the daytime!

  9. I’d keep mine on the dining room table, which is where I’ve been changing my son on, with a blanket underneath. It’s a mess!

  10. I would keep it in the living room and there are times I’d probably take it outside on the patio/porch during the summer months and also in the car as well.

  11. My niece had her baby girl 1 1/2 months early with a heart problem and failing kidneys so I give her what items that I win for her and her baby girl who is now 5 months old.

  12. If I won it would be for my niece (in laws) sister so not sure where she would keep it at. She is excpecting after several miscarriages so it would be put to good use, just not sure where

  13. I would be giving this to my sister in law who is expecting her first. She would most likely keep it by the diaper changing table.

  14. I will keep it by her changing table n will be able to bring with us where ever we go.. sure will come in handy for sure.. thanks

  15. I would like to win this for my brother, he has an 18 month old and is constantly searching for the diaper changing gear. This would help him get organized.

  16. I would give it to my son & daughter in-law. They have my 1st grandbaby and he’s 14 months old. I’m not sure where they would keep it. Probably in the car. Thanks!

  17. I would put half in the bedroom, and the other half in the front room, so I always have changing supplies on hand in a hurry.
