Marvel Studio’s Iron Man is back this week with the release of Iron Man 3 on Blu-ray and DVD. If you happen to somehow miss one of the best action flicks of 2013, don’t miss the opportunity to see Robert Downey Jr.’s latest performance as Tony Stark as it doesn’t disappoint. The film picks up where the last blockbuster Marvel’s The Avengers left off, and if it has been a while since seeing it, I recommend a quick refresher first so nothing is missed.
If you haven’t seen the movie, check out my full (spoiler-free) review of Iron Man 3.
Marvel Studios’ Iron Man 3 pits brash-but-brilliant industrialist Tony Stark/IronMan against an enemy whose reach knows no bounds. When Stark finds his personal world destroyed at his enemy’s hands, he embarks on a harrowing quest to find those responsible. This journey, at every turn, will test his mettle. With his back against the wall, Stark is left to survive by his own devices, relying on his ingenuity and instincts to protect those closest to him. As he fights his way back, Stark discovers the answer to the question that has secretly haunted him: Does the man make the suit or does the suit make the man?
If you’ve always wanted to be like Tony Stark (and have an iOS device) you can download the FREE Marvel’s Iron Man 3 – JARVIS: A Second Screen Experience app where you can interact with Jarvis using your own voice, download ringtones, check the weather, post to Facebook and more. You can even sync the app with your Blu-ray player to unlock hidden files and suits embedded throughout the movie. (My husband downloaded it the other night and has been having fun chatting with Jarvis.)
Hint, hint – Christmas is less than three months away. Time for Santa to start his shopping and pick up a copy of Iron Man 3 for all of the Marvel fans in your life.
I really like the Iron Man series as well as all the other Marvel Universe movies over the last 10 years or so. I think The Avengers followed by Iron Man are my 2 favorite movies.
We’ve seen all the Iron Man movies and can’t wait for the next one 🙂
