Holding A Baby Alligator At Boggy Creek Airboat Rides

When I was a little girl, I remember going on airboat rides, and the feeling of excitement that you get when traveling at high speeds across gator infested waters. It is scary, thrilling, exciting and extremely fun! The amount of wildlife you see in their natural habitat is amazing.

My experience with Boggy Creek Airboat Rides was just as exciting as I remember it was as a child! However, I saw something I never saw on any airboat ride I had ever been on–BABY alligators! Sure, I’ve seen bald eagles, huge gators, endangered species; you name it, but never adorable little babies! It was awesome to see, and I was thrilled to have a driver that knew great spots like where the babies live.

I also got to do something very cool that I had never done before… I got to hold a live gator for the first time! Albeit it was an adolescent, but still, it was a REAL GATOR!

My advice for newbies to airboat rides: dress relaxed and forget your hair. I would also suggest keeping your mouth closed–unless of course you like to eat bugs. 😉

Honestly, everyone should go on at least one airboat ride in their life! It really is a once in a life time experience. Go ahead, do it!
