Bibbidi-Bobbidi-Boo! Cinderella is Now Available On Blu-Ray DVD ~ Giveaway

From the moment I knew Cinderella was being re-released on Blu-Ray / DVD oh-so-many months ago, I couldn’t wait to get my hands on a copy. It was the only  princess movie we did not own, furthermore, it is one of my favorite princess movies. Finally, it arrived!

Cinderella Diamond Edition Blu-ray Combo Disney

I need not tell you dear reader why this movie is so wonderful, there is nothing new to the story. But to own a copy, our very own copy that my K can watch over and over – that is the treasure. Plus the quality – well, it puts my old VHS copy to shame.

As I write, I hear the stepsisters crooning “Sing Sweet Nightingale” from behind me in the car, which brings up another wonderful point about the re-release. At home we enjoy the suburb quality of the Blu-Ray, but thanks to the combo pack K can also enjoy the DVD version on our portable DVD player on long car trips as she is doing now. (Oh how I wish I were in the back seat watching the movie with her!)

Tangled fans will be excited to learnt that the The Blu-Ray / DVD combo pack also the short “Tangled Ever After.” If you haven’t seen this short, it is an adorable mini cartoon about Rapunzel’s wedding. We loved it when it aired on TV, and now we are thrilled to have a copy on the Cinderella Blu-Ray.

Other bonus features in the Blu-Ray combo packs include:

  • Behind the Magic: A New Disney Princess Fantasyland
  • Diane Disney Miller Intro
  • Personalized Digital Storybook: Bibbidi-Bobbidi-You (Disney Second Screen Experience)
  • The Magic of the Glass Slipper: A Cinderella Story
  • DisneyView
  • Classic DVD Bonus

We haven’t played around with the Digital Storybook yet, but I am excited to share this treat with my iPad loving four year old. Also, if you are not familiar with Disney View, it is a neat feature that places a frame around the movie to allow for widescreen viewing without black bars. It looks really nice.

As with all Disney re-releases don’t wait to pick up your copy of Cinderella on Blu-Ray / DVD. Whether your little princess is old enough to enjoy the story now or in a few years, buy it now because the movie won’t be available forever. Once she returns to the Disney vault again, who knows when Cinderella will again emerge. Moms of babies, if you put one thing on your Christmas list this year for your little one make it this movie.

In case you still need another reason to get your copy now. Disney Movie Rewards is offering a free limited edition Cinderella charm bracelet when you redeem your movie code from Cinderella. (Pay just $2.85 shipping and handling.) There will be charms for the new Tinkerbell : The Secret of the Wings (out October 23) and Cinderella II & III (out November 20). I have done these before, and they are a nice treat.

  1. I love Cinderella! Luke bought me a copy the night before our courthouse wedding almost 7 years ago. Lilly got a hold of it when she was little and it was ruined! So happy it’s back 🙂

  6. My favorit Disney Character is Snow white, It brings back my childhood, my parents said we were going to the dentist when it was a movie theater my very first trip to one. Snow White was everything a lady should be, helpful, kind, responcible but also human and makes mistakes, but her kind heart toward others came full circle in her time of need. Id like to add Cinderella to my Disney collection as I have a beautiful niece Id love to share this movie with. Disney is so wonderful.
