Patriotic 4th Of July Rice Krispies Treats

Remember that old commercial with the mom messing up her hair and putting flour on her cheeks to make it look like she slaved over the Rice Krispies Treats as she presented them to her family? Well, some of us need a treat that is really that easy to make. So I used what I know and added a bit of pizzazz to spruce it up for the 4th of July. My test batch came out adorable, now to repeat it next week.

4th of July Rice Krispies Treat

I know you don’t really need the recipe – since it is printed right on the box of Rice Krispies… But I thought you would like to know that the adorable star sprinkles, which inspired the creation came from Aldi ($2.99 for six various patriotic sprinkles). I also used marshmallows from Aldi for this batch because I was delighted to find that even without coupons a bag of marshmallows is only $.99 at Aldi!

Enjoy the mouth-watering goodness and Happy 4th of July!

Disclosure – I was provided a summer sampler pack from Aldi, however, all thoughts opinions and inspiration belongs to me.
