Bonefish is celebrating moms, dads and gads this spring by offering gift givers a bonus $10 card when they buy that special person a $50 Bonefish gift card. I read about the promotion online, but even though there is a Bonefish not far from my house I have never been. So a great promotion to help stretch your dining dollars seemed like the perfect reason to check out Bonefish for myself.

Before I tell you about our dinner, you have to know that I don’t eat fish. I just don’t like it. (Hence why we have never dinned at Bonefish.) My husband was THRILLED to visit a seafood restaurant without me kicking and screaming. My biggest pet peeve about seafood is that it stinks, I am so happy to report that Bonefish doesn’t stink at all! YEAY! (I know seafood lovers think I am nuts, but as someone who doesn’t like seafood but loves to make her hubby happy, this is important.)

While I opted for a chicken dish, my husband enjoyed the tilapia. Even though I am a picky eater, we are doing our best to bring K up to eat a little of everything. So she has to try a “no thank you bite” of new things. Every time she tries something and likes it I hope I am one step closer to a better eater than I am. The tilapia got a thumbs up from her.

In addition to the gift card promotion, Bonefish also hosts “Happier Hours” daily from 4-6:30 pm. During the daily promo you can get select appetizers and drinks for $5 each (other mixed drinks are half price). We got an order of the Bang Babg Chicken, and they were super yummy. I highly recommend these. (Bang Bang Tacos, Fresh Ceviche and Lollipop Rolls are also part of the promotion.)

Bonus cards with the purchase of a $50 gift card to Bonefish are available through June 17, 2012 online or in the restaurant. The bonus cards are valid on your following visit from May 14 – July 15. Gift cards and bonus cards can be used at Bonefish or one of Bonefish’s sister locations: Carrabba’s, Outback, Flemmings or Roys.
