Western Union Returning the Love – $50 Giveaway 5 Winners!

This Mother’s Day, Western Union is celebrating mothers with its Return the Love campaign. The campaign is focused on reminding all of us of the countless acts of love mom has showered us throughout our lives. Although we all have good intentions of getting mom something she wants for mother’s day, a Western Union survey revealed that more than 40% of moms pretend to like their gifts. (Yikes!)

To help make sure mom’s gift is exactly what she needs, Western Union has introduced the Western Union prepaid gift card. For a $5 fee (plus the cost of the gift card), you can purchase a gift card with amounts up to $100, a customizable printed greeting card, a personalized voice message and first class shipping. Convenient for the giver, yes. Something mom can always use and will never return, yes. Win-win!

As part of the Return the Love campaign, Western Union teamed up with Wyclef Jean and Paulina Rubio for a special concert honoring military moms. Western Union is also hosting a Flickr® page (flickr.com/groups/love2010) where consumers can share photos of their moms. Each week, Western Union will select photos from this gallery to display on the company’s home page, www.westernunion.com.

Wouldn’t it be great if you could win a $50 gift card from Western Union? You can. Western Union has generously provided 5 $50 gift cards for TheSuburbanMom to giveaway. Yes, you read that right, TheSuburbanMom will be awarding 5 winners $50 gift cards (to be used anywhere).

  1. Of course I want all the sentimental things, but if my husband and daughter had to spend $50, I would want a Western Union gift card so I could spend it at the mall on a new outfit! I always seem to be buying for my daughter these days, so it’d be nice to spend the money on me to freshen up my wardrobe a bit! 🙂

  2. I really want to sleep in on Mother’s Day and have my husband get up with my 5 month old!

  3. I would like breakfast in bed (after I sleep in of course), and some jewelry or some camera accessories.

  18. western union has helped me out on a few occasions. mother’s day has been extremely quiet — could hear a pin drop.

  19. A nice, long, hot bath with a new book. Heck, a new used book would do. I love relaxing in the tub with a book but refuse to do so with library books, and with the price of books I don’t get to do it often.

  21. I’d love for all four of my children (3 are grown) to spend the day helping me get our yard in shape for summer..weeding, trimming, washing down the patio furniture and helping plant. Just their help this year would be the best gift ever.

  22. What I would really love is a nice stand mixer or a high end vacuum. Been wanting both these items for a few years now, but since they’re a bit pricey, haven’t gotten either yet. lol
