My favorite thing about summer (besides sleeping in) is having my kids’ friends over to play in the pool nearly every day. Since we spend so much time in our pool, I’ve made it a tradition to give our kids a new float at the end of each school year. Something to enjoy all summer as a reward for their hard work all year. This summer, our new float is a giant unicorn from Sam’s Club.

Giant Pool Floats
Squeals of delight greeted our new unicorn giant pool float. It is the perfect pool float for a gaggle of kids to climb on and float around the pool. The float comes in a variety of animals including an elephant, flamingo and peacock as well as the unicorn for less than $20 each.
If you live near a lake or the beach, you have to check out the unicorn floating island at Sam’s Club. It holds 6 people and even has cup holders (my kids favorite part). This floating island is perfect for lazy days on the water.
Stock Up On Snacks
Our kids spend hours splashing in the pool, and there are only two things that put a pause in the fun – thunderstorms and the munchies. I can’t do anything about Florida thunderstorms, but I can make sure I am well-stocked on snacks. To make sure I am ready for a summer of pool days, I stock up on snacks and summer fun at Sam’s Club.
Mom Tip – Individually packaged snacks are not just for school days. They are the perfect way to serve snacks to a group of wet kids — that way no one puts their soggy hands in someone else’s snacks.
Sam’s Club has a huge selection of snacks, perfect for summer gatherings and all those spontaneous playdates including:
- Pringles Snack Stacks Variety Pack 48ct.
- Cheez-It Original 45ct.
- Club Crackers 24ct.
- Famous Amos Cookies 42ct.
- Kellogg’s Fruity Snack
- Strawberry Pop-Tarts 18ct.
Are you ready for backyard summer fun? If you are not sure, head to Sam’s Club to check out everything it offers to make your backyard the place to be. For some summer inspiration, check out this video about all of the summer fun you can find at Sam’s Club.
Once you are well stocked for summer fun challenge your kids to make their way through this list of 20 Pool Games For Kids. After they finish my list of games, inspire them to make up their own pool games this summer.
