40 Best Kids Advent Calendars 2018

Advent calendars have always been a tradition in my family. Starting in my own childhood, we always had an advent calendar to count down the days until Christmas. These days, our Elf on the Shelf (Kringle) brings the kids a new advent calendar upon his arrival the Saturday after Thanksgiving. It’s a fun tradition and the kids love it. Each year Kringle is on the look out for the Best Kids Advent Calendars.

I squealed with delight upon discovering the Little People advent calendar. Sure, she will be 10 months when the advent calendar starts, but we can’t leave the baby out of the fun. Thanks to hand-me-downs from her big sisters, she already loves Little People, so it is perfect. The reusable trees are also cute because they would be a great tradition to start.

Best Advent Calendars for Kids

There are so many great choices of advent calendars for kids. In fact, I can’t decide which ones my daughters would most enjoy this year. They had Tsum Tsums advent calendar last year, and Star Wars Legos advent the year before — both were great. Personally, I love the Cabbage Patch advent calendar (child of the ’80s!), but my girls don’t share my great love for Cabbage Patch dolls.
