The Ultimate Disney Photo Checklist (Printable Checklist)

Capture your family’s Disney memories with the ultimate Disney photo checklist to help you remember to take pictures of the details big and small.

Ultimate Disney Photo Checklist

I’ve lost track of the number of times my family has visited Disney, we are spoiled by living so close and do our best to take advantage of it visiting often. But with a little research I could find out exactly how many times my family has visited because I have documented every trip in photos. Lots of photos.

Magic Kingdom Parade

It doesn’t matter how many times we visit the Magic Kingdom, I insist a family photo in front of the castle – every time. However, I somehow managed to forget to take a family photo in front of the castle the one and only time we have been to Disneyland. There is one of dad and the girls, but no mom. And years later, I am still mad at myself.

There are just so many things going on during a family vacation it is easy to forget. So for parents who are juggling a million things on their Disney vacation I created the ultimate Disney photo checklist. Use the checklist as inspiration to make and photograph special memories at Disney.

5 Disney Photo Tips

While most of the items on the ultimate Disney photo checklist are self explanatory, these 5 Disney photo tips deserve a little more explanation.

Fun photos start before you even leave home. Don’t forget to capture your kids excitement when you tell the kids you are going to Disney. There are so many creative ways to make this fun, even if you just straight out tell them — have the camera ready.

Empty your phone/camera memory before you leave on your trip. I can’t tell you the number of times I have realized mid day I am nearly out of space for all of those special memories.

First Visit Disneyland Button

The first picture you take should be of your contact information. It can be as simple as taking a photo of a piece of paper with a note that says, “If lost, please contact name, phone number, email.” If your camera/phone gets lost at Disney, it will help cast members reunite you with your memories. (Make the info your lock screen on a phone.) I once found a memory card on the ground at Disney. Luckily, it only had 10 pictures on it, but there was no way to identify the family. I turned it in to guest services, but who knows…

Take a photo of your child at the beginning of each day. Not only do you want to remember how cute they are in their Disney attire, if they go missing (even for a moment) you will have a photo to show Disney cast members what your child is wearing.

Get everyone in the picture. Even if you decide not to purchase Disney Memory Maker, take advantage of Disney photographers by handing them your camera and asking them to take a picture. This way everyone, including the family photographer gets to be in the photos.
