Star Wars The Force Awakens Press Conference Photos

As a life-long Star Wars fan who now shares her love for the Force with her daughters, I could not have been more excited to attend the Star Wars The Force Awakens press conference in LA this weekend. It was the opportunity of a life time to meet the cast and crew behind the biggest movie of the year. Ya’ll I met Harrison Ford and JJ Abrams. It was nuts! (Can’t wait to share details from those interviews in the coming days.)

The day was incredibly packed with so many things to see, people to meet and a surprise visit to Disneyland. From now through opening day, December 18, I will share my interviews with Harrison Ford, JJ Abrams, Daisy Ridley, John Boyega, Oscar Isaac, Lupita Nyong’o and producer and president of Lucasfilm Kathleen Kennedy. Whew! But for today, I want to share a glimpse of what it is like to attend the Star Wars The Force Awakens press conference in pictures.

In addition to intimate interviews and the global Star Wars The Force Awakens press conference, there was a room filled with Star Wars were also photo opportunities, Star Wars merchandise to check out and life-sized Stormtroopers on display.

Upon arrival everyone was invited to join the light side or the dark side.

R2D2 was a fan of my shirt.

Always an R2D2 fan, I have to admit that BB8 is a special little guy. It was really neat to see him rolling around interacting with everyone.

Bad Robot set up a screen printing station for everyone to make their own Star Wars shirts.

Check out the Star Wars merchandise! I want one of everything. I should also note that I learned there is a LOT more Star Wars merchandise to be released soon. Many of the products to be released contain movie spoilers so they are being held back until after the movie release — such as costumes and all Maz Kanata toys.

We were also invited to sit in on the international Star Wars The Force Awakens press conference and my number one take away from it is that Carrie Fisher is hilarious! Well, that and this movie is going to be amazing!

Although I don’t have a photo, I ran into Bob Iger in the hall and I took the moment to shake his hand and introduce myself. As we parted ways he made sure to tell me, “The movie is fantastic.”

Star Wars The Force Awakens opens in theaters December 18, 2016. Don’t miss your chance to see it opening weekend!

Stay tuned for more details from the Star Wars The Force Awakens press conference.

One last thing, if you have a chance to visit Disneyland during Season of the Force, it is awesome! Hyperspace Mountain made my all-time favorite ride even more awesome. Path of the Jedi made me want to rewatch every movie, right now! Star Tours is always fantastic and the Star-Wars themed food was so fun! (Darth by Chocolate gets two thumbs up!)

Now I am even more excited about Star Wars Land, coming to Disneyland and Disney world!
