Paper or plastic? No, I am not talking about shopping bags (the answer to that should be a reusable tote!), I am talking about your preferred method of payment. Are you a paper or plastic shopper? I used to be paper (and metal), but in recent years I have become an almost 100% plastic shopper. A Kaiku Visa® Prepaid Card makes it easy to shop with plastic, keep track of budgeting and load funds all from your mobile device.
In fact, I have become so reliant on plastic that I had to have a long talk with my seven year old about how plastic works. She sees me do the swipe, but didn’t yet understand that I have to pay for that swipe. Kaiku prepaid card made a great teaching tool for my daughter because I was able to login to my account and show her how I load funds onto the prepaid card so that I have funds to pay for things like groceries, gas and dance class.
5 Reasons You Need A Kaiku Prepaid Card
Easy To Load – My favorite feature of Kaiku is the ability to load the card with checks. In my business I get paid with a lot of checks, and I can’t stand making unnecessary trips to the bank. Who has time for that?! With the Kaiku app, I can take a picture of a check and load the funds directly onto my card — bypassing my bank. It’s quick, easy and it works!
The Kaiku prepaid card gives you the flexibility to add funds easily. In addition to loading checks with a mobile phone, you can also be loaded by bank deposit, direct deposit, PayPal, card-to-card deposits and with cash at participating Visa ReadyLink locations.
Easy Money Management – Kaiku prepaid card makes it easy to budget and track spending. By loading only the funds available in your budget, you eliminate the risk of over spending like with a traditional credit card. And unlike cash transactions, monthly statements help you to quickly see where your money is being spent so you can maintain a budget. You can even use the bill pay feature to pay your monthly bills with a one-time payment or by set up reoccurring monthly payments.
With the Funds-ometer you can quickly see track your spending and compare it to your average over the past 60 days in non-essential categories, like eating out and entertainment.
Online And On The Go – With the Kaiku app you can access your account from anywhere to load funds, check or your balance and even set mobile alerts for purchases and a low balance. No need to wait until you have access to a computer to check your available balance, just grab your phone. The app is intuitive and has everything you need for instant access to your account on the go.
Fund Your Kids – The Kaiku prepaid card is the perfect solution for teens who are just learning about money management. When I was a kid, my allowance was always in cash. With the Kaiku prepaid card parents can add up to three cards per account making it easy to deposit money directly to a Kaiku prepaid card for their teens. It also makes sending money to students who are away at college a breeze. And since kids start off with no real credit, the Kaiku prepaid card is a great alternative to a high-interest credit card. Especially to learn money management. Plus kids (and adults) love the cool Kaiku prepaid card color options.

Now that you know all the reasons you need a Kaiku prepaid card the only question is, which color card will you choose when you sign up for a Kaiku prepaid card?
This is a good idea for teenagers. It would teach them about money and they wouldn’t have to deal with cash. The fee is quite low too. Thanks for the information!
The KAIKU Visa Prepaid Card looks like just that, a prepaid visa card. On the upside I love the fact that it has the Mobile check loading feature. The two down sides that I see are the $3.00 monthly fee and the 55,000 ATM’S.
Hi Sandy, thanks for your comment! We’ve actually just introduced a new fee option for Kaiku — now, when you when Direct Deposit $750 or more each month, we’ll waive your $3 maintenance fee. That means Kaiku is just $0 a month as long as you stick to our surcharge free ATM’s! For more information, please visit our website at http://www.kaiku.com. Have a lovely day.
Seems like a good idea. I don’t have a smartphone so it would be useful to me. I don’t like monthly fees either. I am sure this would be useful for some.
