5 Natural Ways To Relieve Stress

I am a type-A perfectionist. Stress has been part of my life for as long as I can remember, in fact, I remember my parents teaching me methods to relive stress as a young girl. I have always dealt with stress. Now that I am in my (ah-em) mid-thirties, I am finally starting to get a handle on my stress and to understand how to relieve stress naturally, and effectively.

Of course, we all have our out-of-control moments, but keeping little stresses in check throughout the day is the key to avoiding that crazed feeling. Bach Rescue asked me to share my best stress-busting tips, so here is how I keep stress in check.

5 Natural Ways To Relieve Stress

Dance it out – Take a beat from your kids, and dance like no one is watching. There is something invigorating about cranking up the beat and letting it all out. Just “Shake it off” – loud and proud.

Essential Oils – Everyone knows that taking deep breaths has calming effects. But did you know that you can super charge those deep breaths with essential oils? Scent is powerful and by breathing in a relaxing aurora you can calm your body and your mind. You can diffuse oils for focus and stress release during the day and other oils to relax you to sleep at night.

Unplug – I am glued to my phone, glued. But as much as it helps make my life easier and my work possible, it is often the source of stress. When the emails pile up and things seem insurmountable, unplug and walk away. Just for a little while, do something else and get away from what stresses you.

Take a Shower – Even if you don’t need one. Yes, I say that with a bit of humor (because that’s how I deal with stress!), but I mean it. After you unplug and get away from your problem, take a shower (or a bath) and truly allow yourself to unwind. If you will just allow yourself 15 minutes to relax, your whole day will be better.

Say No – How many times have you filled your plate a mile high because you just couldn’t say no? As moms, we do it all of the time. One of the best ways to relieve stress is to prevent it, and you can do that by learning your limits. As much as we try to stretch those 24 hours, that’s all we get every day. So make the most of those hours by learning your limits and saying no.

When that happens you need Rescue Pastilles. Rescue products contain natural ingredients designed to help you calm down and de-stress. Plus, Rescue Pastille come in a convenient tin for on-the-go stress busting. Because sometimes, life happens!

    • Let me know if I can help you with a diffuser and some of my favorite blends to diffuse. I have Citrus Fresh diffusing in my office right now. Love it so!

  2. Stress, especially acute stress causes so much damage to your body, it’s worse than bad diet/exercise. We’ve been trying to figure out ways to handle stress.

  3. I think “saying no” is such an important tip. It is absolutely OK to value yourself AND your time and expect others to do the same.

  4. These are great tips on stress relief! I had a counselor tell me one time that “if I wasn’t getting in the shower, be getting out of the shower.” lol I’ve been hearing so much about essential oils lately too. I burn candles quite often but want to look into burning oils too. Thanks!
