Race Around America With Walgreens To Win A Roush Mustang

This race season, Walgreens is giving fans another reason to cheer — the Race Around America sweepstakes for a chance to win one of four trips for two to the Ford Ecoboost 400 at the Homestead-Miami Speedway —  the final race of the chase for the NASCAR Sprint Cup — in November where one grand prize winner will win a Roush Stage 3 Mustang. Oh yes! A chance to win a NASCAR trip and a car! 

I’ll give you more details about how you can win in a second, but first let me show you how much fun a NASCAR race is.

Two years ago, if you had asked me if I would ever attend a NASCAR race, I would have told you not likely. I had never seen a race, knew nothing about the sport and generally had no interest. Then my husband went to work for NASCAR, and everything changed — I am hooked.

This year was my second Daytona 500, and while we got rained out and completely drenched it was a great day. And I admit that I came home and watched part of the race on TV — I had to see Dale Junior take the win! But TV is nothing like being there in person, and whether you are a mega fan or have never seen a race there is so much to enjoy!

Also in attendance at the Daytona 500 was the Roush Stage 3 Mustang that is being given away through the Race Around America promo. The Mustang is being driven by Roush Fenway Racing drivers Greg Biffle, Ryan Reed, Trevor Bayne and Chris Buescher from each NASCAR race city to the next, making pit stops to meet with fans along the way. And I had to check out the car in person. (FYI – the designed wrap will be removed for the winner revealing a beautiful red mustang underneath.)

But remember that rain I mentioned? You can see in the picture that the car is wet, what you can’t see is that it is sprinkling on me in the picture! (The things we bloggers do for a picture!)

Moments later we took shelter under a tent. And it is a good thing I snapped that picture when I did because soon this was the scene. Ahhh Florida.

Even though we got soaked and decided to call it a day after the third tornado warning… Race fans still filled the stands 6 hours later when the race resumed.
