Rise And Shine With An Easy Breakfast Casserole Recipe

Imagine — It’s Saturday morning, you lazily get out of bed place a casserole dish in the oven, pour some coffee, play with the kids, read the paper and enjoy the morning. An hour later, the family enjoys breakfast together. After breakfast dishes are loaded into the dishwasher – without rinsing – and a happy weekend begins. The next day, unload sparkling clean dishes. Harmony.

This is a sponsored post.

Easy Overnight Breakfast Casserole

Does that sound like a far-fetched dream?

It’s not. My girlfriend introduced me to the easiest, yummy breakfast casserole (prepared the night before), and I used it to put Finish Quantum to the test. I achieved the dream, and so can you!

Susan’s Overnight Sausage Breakfast Casserole

  • 1 lb. Turkey Sausage – crumbled and sautéed (shortcut, buy pre-cooked sausage)
  • 4 slices bread – toasted and cubed (I’ll be honest, I forgot to toast!)
  • 1/2 cup grated sharp cheddar cheese
  • 5 eggs
  • 1/2 tsp. dry mustard
  • 2 cups milk
  • Dash of Worcestershire sauce

Spray a casserole dish with Pam.

Combine cooked sausage and bread together and put into casserole dish. Add cheese.

In a separate bowl combine the eggs, dry mustard, milk and Worcestershire sauce.  Pour over mixture in oval dish. (Prep 10 mins.)

Cover with foil and put in fridge overnight.

Bake the next morning at 325 degrees without foil for one hour.

So simple.

And how did the family like it? I received rave reviews.

Next came the second part of the challenge — the dishes. Every cook knows eggs are notoriously hard to get off dishes without a pre-rinse. But the people at Finish Quantum made me promise – no pre-rinse. I am lazy, so I was happy not to pre-rinse. But I had to watch my husband (the ultimate pre-rinser) like a hawk to make sure he didn’t sneak a pre-rinse.

This is what went into the dishwasher.

Messy Dishes

Not only did I not pre-rinse, I didn’t wash right away either. (Gasp!) I waited to run the dishwasher until bed time. What would those dishes look like in the morning? Imagine my surprise when I work up to this:

Finish Quantum Rise & Shine Challenge

Clean and sparkly! If you look carefully, you will see that there are a couple of baked on spots on the dish that didn’t come off. (Look really carefully – in the corner.) Between you and me, those spots are so small I put the dish away as is without hesitation. As far as I am concerned — the Rise and Shine with Finish Quantum Challenge was a success.

So this weekend, treat yourself to breakfast harmony with an easy breakfast casserole and simple cleanup with Finish Quantum.
