Pizza night is a regular staple in our house, but I have to be honest with you — we always buy our pizza. Sometimes it is from a pizza joint, sometimes from the freezer section at the grocery store, but we buy it. Mostly because pizza night is our lazy night. (Come on, I know you have lazy nights too.)

If my daughter has anything to say about it… things have changed.

I recently surprised my personal sous chef with a DIY pizza night, and according to K making the pizza is just as much fun as eating the pizza. Armed with Pillsbury Artisan Pizza Crust, pizza sauce, mozzarella cheese, pepperoni and green olives (our family’s favorite pizza topping – try it, it is delish) we made our pizza for less than $12 and in less than 30 minutes. And I have to admit, I had a good time too.

The big question – how was our masterpiece? Nom nom nom. The whole family agreed it was yum as we gobbled it all up.

  48. Sausage! I grew up with my Dad working for a pizzeria and every time he brought home pizza, it had sausage so I grew up loving sausage!
