Disney’s Beverly Hills Chihuahua 3,Viva La Fiesta!

Chloe, Papi and the whole gang are back in Beverly Hills Chihuahua 3, Viva La Fiesta! And for fans of the talking Chihuahua family, the third installment doesn’t disappoint.

Beverly Hills Chihuahua 3

When Papi’s family (dog and human) move into the posh Langham Hotel, complete with a luxurious doggy spa everyone is giddy with excitement  But there’s trouble in puppy paradise when Rosa, the littlest member of the pack, feels smaller and less special than ever. Now it’s up to Papi to help Rosa find – and celebrate – her inner strength, which turns out to be bigger than she ever dreamed and reminds humans and canines alike of the importance of family, friends and teamwork.

My daughter is a huge fan of the Chihuahua pups (having watched Beverly Hills Chihuahua 2 countless times), and thanks to commercials running on Disney Junior for the new movie she couldn’t wait to check out Beverly Hills Chihuahua 3. I am please to report that she loved every minute of it. Of course, at the end of the movie she started asking me when she could have a quinceañera… but aside from the disappointment of learning we don’t celebrate quinceañeras she loved the movie (and so did I).

Beverly Hills Chihuahua 3 Viva La Fiesta

The funny thing is that as big of a Chihuahua fan as she is, we have still yet to see the original Beverly Hills Chihuahua. She was too young when it came out, and she has yet to realize that she missed one. Perhaps I should add that to the Christmas list…

One of the things I really like about the Chihuahua series is that the movies emphasize the importance of family, and Beverly Hills Chihuahua 3 continues that message with Papi’s phrase “Family always matters” even appearing on the box cover. It is a cute story with a lot of heart and an underlying message about family, something every mom can get behind. Plus the movie is fun for all ages.

In addition to the movie, bonus features include the featurette “Hanging with Papi,” a playful look at a typical day on-set for Papi and both his human and canine costars, and the English and Spanish versions of “Living Your Dreams” an all-new music video performed by Raini Rodriguez, star of Disney Channel’s popular series “Austin and Ally.”

Beverly Hills Chihuahua 3, Viva La Fiesta! is now available on Blu-Ray and DVD.

Disclosure – I received a copy of the movie to facilitate this review, however, all thoughts and opinions are my own.
