I consider myself pretty crafty and fairly creative when it comes to finding “projects” for my daughter, but even I cannot keep up with her daily requests for a “project” during the summer months. I love that I have already instilled in her the craft bug, but there are only so many ideas mom can come up with on her own. Sometimes mom needs a little help, that’s where LeapFrog Summer Camp comes in.
Thank you to LeapFrog for sponsoring my post about Leapfrog Summer Camp.
Of course, we are already very familiar with LeapFrog products in this house, so when I heard LeapFrog had a summer camp for kids 4-7 I didn’t hesitate to sign up.
LeapFrog’s Summer Camp is broken up into eight themed weeks filled with activity ideas, printable worksheets and crafts. At the start of each week, parents can go online to check out the week’s curriculum. What I love is that while there is something different to do each day, you can go at your own pace. Because K was in VBS last week, we skipped last week’s curriculum and will go back to it later this summer. On the other hand this week was all about puzzles, since this is something she is totally into right now I printed out all of the puzzle worksheets and created a booklet for her to work through. She was so excited about them that we completed her booklet in two days. LOL!
In addition to the daily activities, each week offers ideas for “extra credit,” providing even more fun ideas, printables and learning opportunities. (Good thing because I printed ALL of the extras for the puzzle week!)
I just realized, I forgot to tell you the best part the LeapFrog Summer Camp is FREE!
All you have to do to get in on the fun is visit the LeapFrog campsite and check out what’s going on for the week. Of course, you want to make sure you are in the know with everything that’s happening with camp, so you should also register to get reminders and updates every other Sunday. Plus as a bonus for signing up, each email comes with a discount code to save on LeapFrog products, and some even come with little surprises! (Last week’s email included a free Shutterfly book. I don’t know if there will be more, but that was an exciting bonus!) Don’t want to sign up? No worries you can still enjoy camp (how do you like that for flexibility!?).
And what’s camp without a little competition? Each week, you are invited to submit a picture of your little camper enjoying the activities for a chance to win a LeapFrog prize pack worth $50. Plus there’s a grand prize gift pack worth $500.
K is enjoying the Leapfrog Summer Camp “projects,” and I am enjoying a little break from coming up with new things to do. We are currently in week 3 of camp, but it’s easy to jump in and pick right up. Check it out, I highly recommend the printable puzzles from week 3!
Happy camping!
