When my daughter first discovered PetCakes in the store, I knew it was only a matter of time before we owned a PetCake (or two or three…). After all, for a little girl who loves cupcakes and all things stuffed, it was like the perfect storm of cuteness! How could a three year old resist?
From the company:
Each PetCakes animal features a “frosting” hat, comes nestled in its own cupcake wrapper and has its own whimsical backstory. At first look, children will see a delicious cupcake but will then be surprised by the pet they find snuggled inside! Combining sweet faces and cuddly plush with a clever cupcake theme, PetCakes are collectible and provide hours of open-ended imaginative play. PetCakes make perfect gifts for a special friend and for pet lovers. They are ideal for birthday party favors, stocking stuffers and as rewards for good grades. Most of all, PetCakes deliver the kind of fun kids eat up!
Why I love it – PetCakes are cute and compact. In a house overrun with stuffed things, I like the small stature of these sweet critters. Now available in two lines – the original series of dogs and the second series of woodland animals, I have to admit I like the series 1 pups best (perhaps in part due to my daughters affinity for all things pink). But with an icing hat and a cherry on top, there’s something to love about the whole PetCake line.
Buy it – PetCakes are available on Amazon for $11 -$15 (free ship with Prime or an order of $25 or more) depending on the PetCake. Also available on PetCakesToys.com where you can get a free collectible mini with the purchase of PetCakes (just pay an additional $1.99 shipping).
Great For – The package says, girls ages 3+. Sure my 3 year old will love it, but I also think my 14-year-old niece who loves cupcakes would love PetCakes too.
I am excited that PetCakes is participating in The Suburban Mom’s Holiday Gift Guide. In addition to all of the other fabulous prizes, the winner will win a PetCake!
