  2. I have the same problem as Robert Sterling. I’ve e-mailed and nobody is responding from Jana Feifer bags. I just want to find out if I’m getting the item (JF060-5S-BLK)that I ordered on November 22nd for Christmas. I know the Today Show is not responsible, but perhaps you can get them to at least respond to us. Thank you.

  3. Same issue here. Did not receive my bag. No phone number listed on their website and they did not respond to my email. I’m going to give them another week or two and I’m going to contact my credit card company to dispute it as they already charged me for it on 11/22

  4. Same concern with the Jana Feifer bag. Emailed company customer service twice and no response. They said 2-3 weeks when we ordered and now going on 4. Any chance we are getting them for Christmas or was this not a legitimate offer? Anyone able to contatc them and get a response?

  6. Regarding the 11/22 segment of Jill’s Steals and Deals: I received the Jana Feifer Bag today. This tote was sold as follows: “The Jana Feifer leather tote bags feature a croc design on the sides that feel buttery soft to the touch.” Clearly, this quote from the website is selling a leather tote. The tote is 100% PVC with leather trim. I feel like, intentional or not, this is false advertising. This bag is hideous and smells bad. Jill may want to vet her products and vendors better. This is an $80 bag/valued at $395 that I am stuck with as its a “final sale”. Because of this negative experience and lack of trust, I can not buy any of your “steals” any longer. I’m really upset and angry and would have chosen not to purchase this if I would have known it wasn’t 100% leather.

  7. I agree With Heather Swanson that the advertising on the “leather” tote was totally misleading. I would not have paid the $75.00 for it ,much less the “valued” at price of 395.00! What a joke! Unfortunatlly ,the joke was on me. Guess it will teachme a lesson on not to buy “sight (and smell) unseen. Bag has such a strong smell of plastic it nauseates me. what a HUGE disappointment.

  8. I agree with the others who ordered the Jana Feifer bags, i ordered two for Christmas on 11/22 and did not receive either as of 12/22. Now I am reading that the people who did receive the bags say they are not as advertised by your show, and are cheap plastic not leather. I am really disappointed and thought better of the intregrity of the Today show,Natalie actually commented on how soft these bags were. I had a trust but now I feel this was a scam, and I am out $150 and do not have the Christmas presents.
    You misrepresented this product, and the delivery time.

  9. Just got my Jana Feifer bag – BIG – disappointment. Talk about a ‘bait & switch’! The Today Show “Steals & Deals” segment with Jill Martin said ‘leather tote’ and ‘buttery soft leather’. No mention of PVC, until I got the bag and it read ‘PVC’ on the inside label.
    It is a PVC bag, with PVC handles, and leather trim on the side. I’ve emailed Jana Feifer, AND the Today Show. ‘This’ bag was not sold for $375 at Neiman Marcus, as they said on the Today Show!

  10. Received tote and it is a total misrepresentation of what was advertised. If you paid by credit card, call your cc company and put in a dispute for the charge. You may have to write to them and make sure you document how many times you tried to contact the vendor without receiving a response. There was an editor’s note that stated requests for refunds would be honored. Let’s see. Perhaps what Jill showed and what we received were two different things.

  11. this is horrible!!!! I ordered 11.29 –havent’ received —emailed 2 email addresses, voice mail box is full. The comments make me sick to my stomach. Have folks had trouble getting their credit cards to reverse the charge

  12. I just received my “Jana Feifer” -and I can’t believe she would ever put her name on an item like this! Only took over a month to arrive from China, no wonder, and if I don’t get cancer from breathing the toxic fumes coming off this piece of plastic crap it will be a Christmas miracle! There isn’t a piece of leather anywhere on this bag-I don’t care how “buttery soft” they claim it is! This is right up there with the fake “UGG” boots scam! lol! It’s such a shame I have to learn everything the hard way! I feel if I send the bag back-I won’t see my money or the bag and the return postage is worth more than this product! I’m sure you make some nice products Jana, but sadly, this isn’t one of them.

  13. I plan to refuse the shipment if it arrives; upopened. I spoke to my credit card company and plan to dispute the charge. It is not what was promoted. Glad there is a request for refunds being honored. Very disappointed with this deal and the customer service from what is supposed to be a reputable designer.

  14. Finally received the bag on the 23rd. What a huge disappointment. It looks cheap and smells awful. Truly nauseating smell. I have it wrapped in 2 plastic bags to keep the smell contained. I’m thinking of just throwing it out. My first and last time ordering something from the Today Show’s Steals and Deals.

  15. I have tried to e-mail the company three times concerning the Jana Feifer Bag. I ordered two because they looked great and reported to be a fantastic deal. The smell is overwhelming. I was going to give them to my daughter in-laws for Christmas, HA HA, not a chance I would pass these on to anyone. I would like someone to take notice and refund those of us who trusted in the Today Show and have been taken advantage of by Jana Feifer. It’s unbelievable.

  16. Same story…no bag, no reply from Jana Feifer after several e-mails to them, and the kicker …I have been charged!!!
    After reading all the comments, it seems that this is a case of misrepresentation on all levels. I have ordered many other items from “steal and deals” in the past and never had any problem. It appears that the consumers, as well as the Today Show, have been duped. Jana Feifer….shame on you!!!! What about this is right???

  17. I received the two Jana Feifer bags and was very disappointed. They looked cheap and the smell was so bad, I had to put them on the porch. I decided to try to carry one, after one week the handle fell apart. Now, I’m stuck with two purse that are not worth them money I paid for them I don’t think I will ever trust Today show products on their Steal and Deals section. I could get better made purses at Sam Moons in Dallas. I would suggest that the Today show check the items they recommend. Lesson Learned!!!

I am calling my credit card company and asking for my money back as they already charged my card two billing cycles ago! What a rip off!

    Well, I got one of these smelly things for Christmas. The odor emitted is horrific. And Leather? I don’t think so… Will be putting this in the garage sale. Maybe someone would take it off my hands.
    Don’t know how or who to return it to for credit or cash refund (LOL) Was a total scam!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  23. Everytime I look at my JF handbag that I ordered I get sick on how slammed I was! In fact I just randomly Google it and saw all of your complaints and am a little more at ease I wasn’t the only one that felt that way!

  24. I ordered two of the JF handbags and was charged on 11/22 for the full amount including shipping. I have not received my merchandise nor have they returned any of my numerous emails. Could someone from the Today Show do anything to help us out? At this point I do not want the bags, just a refund.

  25. I haven’t received my bag either. I finally heard back from Jana Feifer bags as follows:
    “The name of the company that charged your credit card is Vain Apparel. They set up a merchant account called JF Accessories. I sold my bags to a third party marketing company who then sold them on The Today Show and took care of the sales and shipping of your purchase. You are not the only one who has not received your bag. I would highly recommend contacting your credit card company and disputing the charge. This must be your first step. Second, feel free to email and call the contact person below. They have all the bags and MUST ship you.

  26. I ordered two bags and only received one. It is July 31, 2012 and I still haven’t gotten one reply to countless emails. I saw that GAA has Jana Feifer bags again today, but I am so disgusted at the lack of help with this problem that I can’t imagine buying again. This has been incredibly frustrating and I will file a complaint with GAA as well. I will be calling my credit card company to see if I can get a refund!! Hope I have better luck with them.
