On the heels of The Lion King’s enormous success at the box offices for its two-week re-release in 3D, Disney has announced the re-release of four more classic favorites in 3D in the theater for similar limited-time engagements. (I am so excited!)
- Beauty and the Beast – January 13, 2012
- Disney•Pixar’s Finding Nemo – September 14, 2012
- Disney•Pixar’s Monsters, Inc. – January 18, 2013 (Monsters University, a prequel to the original film, arrives in theaters in Disney Digital 3D on June 21, 2013)
- The Little Mermaid – September 13, 2013
Yes, those dates are in 2013, so we have a while to wait… But I am still excited! Every time we watch The Little Mermaid, my husband complains about the poor quality, so maybe by the baby S is ready to watch it on repeat we can have an HD Blu-Ray!
Ok Disney, when is Cinderella going to be re-released? 🙂
