It is one of the luxuries that we don’t even think about in (until a pipe bursts or a natural disaster) — clean water. But there are people — children — in many other parts of the world who do not have access to clean water everyday. They are forced to drink dirty water just to survive, and, of course, dirty water is filled with bacteria and other things that make people sick. I cannot even imagine.
Clean water is one of P&G’s hallmark charitable campaigns, and the company invites its customers to participate in the efforts to help provide clean drinking water through the P&G myGIVE campaign. Including simply redeeming the coupons from the P&G brandSAVER from June 5. That’s right, you can provide one day’s worth of clean water for a child in need for EVERY coupon redeemed. (Unbelievably, that day of water costs about $.02.) I love that it makes couponing a charitable task!
I have blogged about this program before, but until I watched this video demo I didn’t really understand how clean water was provided. (I realized they weren’t flying the water in, but I kind of pictured a LOT of water filters.) Watch how simple it is to clean the water.
If you are a blogger, you can help spread the word about the P&G campaign by using the resouces provided for bloggers and the media below. (Even if you aren’t a blogger, feel free to browse the app below to learn more.)
Since 2004, the P&G Children’s Safe Drinking Water campaign has provided 3 billion liters of clean water to children in more than 60 countries. Learn more on Facebook at www.facebook.com/pgmygive.
Thank you for sharing this information with us. I know my daughter is very concerned that people in various places don’t have clean water. She is so caring and sweet!
