Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Space Adventure ~ Giveaway

Posted by 23 November, 2011 (43) Comment

Mornings in our house wouldn’t be the same with M-I-C-K-E-Y, M-O-U-S-E. Mickey Mouse Clubhouse was my daughter’s first TV show, and to this day it is her favorite (and she will tell you so, although Jake and the Neverland Pirates is now her second favorite). Somehow even though she has seen them ALL on TV, having them on DVD makes them even more special. So, when MMCH releases a new episode on DVD, she announces its coming arrival (thanks Disney Channel for all of the commercials) and her desire to add it to her “collection.”

Mickey Mouse recently blasted off with its newest DVD release Mickey Mouse Clubhouse: Space Adventure.

Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Space Adventure

It’s Adventure Day and Professor Von Drake is sending Mickey and pals into the far reaches of outer space. The team blasts off in their Clubhouse Rocket in search of Treasure Stars that will point the way to the Out-of-this-World Treasure, their ultimate goal. The interplanetary trip takes preschool viewers first to the Moon, Mars and the Rings of Saturn. Along the way, the gang gets help from friendly space aliens Moon Men Chip and Dale, Martian Mickey and Pluto from Pluto but they also encounter sneaky Space Pirate Pete, who wants the Treasure all for himself. Eventually the Clubhouse Rocket’s crew and Space Pirate Pete manage to become friends, and they all follow the trail of the Treasure Stars to the mysterious Planet Mickey where they discover the location of the Out-of-this-World Treasure. It turns out to be a futuristic, space age version of the Clubhouse — the perfect meeting place for all pals across the universe!

It came as no surprise that K was completely into her new MMCH “movie.” For all the Toodles fans out there, in this episode Space Pirate Pete introduces his new helper, Quoodles (a female Toodles). And both helpers sport faces and voices (like Professor Van Drake gave Toodles on his birthday in “Happy Birthday Toodles.”) Oh Quoodles!

Mickey Mouse Clubhouse: Space Adventure is now available on Amazon.

If you have a MMCH fan in your house, I have a treat for you – a free activity pack. The activity pack includes coloring sheets, games and even a fun project. Download the activity pack here.

Happy Birthday Minnie Mouse

Posted by 11 November, 2011 (0) Comment

In honor of Minnie Mouse’s 83rd birthday, Disney Junior will celebrate all next week (November 14 -19) with the launch of a new series of Minnie Mouse shorts called “Minnie’s Bow-Toons.” The new series, based on the “Mickey Mouse Clubhouse” episode “Minnie’s Bow-tique,” follows the adventures of Minnie Mouse and her good friend Daisy Duck as they run Minnie’s Bow-Tique, a specialty shop stocked only with colorful bows and bowties.

The new series will air at 8:55 am EST each day of Minnie’s birthday week. On Minnie’s actual birthday, Friday, November 18, 2011, Disney Junior will run a block-long marathon featuring the new shorts and Minnie-centric episodes of “Mickey Mouse Clubhouse” from 8:55 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. ET/PT, as well as the following day Saturday, November 19 from 6:30 – 9:00 am EST.

Fans can also log on to DisneyJunior.com/Minnie to play Minnie-themed games and download new coloring pages, as well as see a special sneak-peek of the following day’s episode before it premieres on air!

As a special treat, I am excited to share with you a sneak peek at the very first episode. (My daughter already watched it and can’t wait for the rest to air next week. Every time the commercial comes on she talks about the new series and Minnie Mouse’s birthday!)

Easy Way to Earn Free Gift Cards – Really!

Posted by 8 September, 2009 (20) Comment

I know, I know Free Gift Cards sounds to be good to be true, but I promise it is easy and free!  Now, before you get too excited, you are not going to get rich this way. But if you can earn even one $50 gift card to Amazon a year just for reading emails, isn’t it worth it? I think it is, and I earn more than that!

There are a LOT of reward sites out there (I know, I have signed up for most of them), but by far my favorite one (and the easiest) is MyPoints.

At MyPoints, the easiest way to  earn points is by reading emails. Once you sign up, they send emails to you about their advertisers. For each email you open and click through, you receive 5 points. Some days I don’t get any emails, some days I get 5-6!  In less than 5 minutes, I can click through all of these emails and earn points. If you are interested in the offer in the email, you can earn more points by signing up, shopping or whatever the ad asks you to do, but you don’t have to.  (Although sometimes, there are really good things to sign up for!)

Other ways to earn points include surveys and shopping through the site (this simply means visiting MyPoints to get to the web site you want to shop at). I have dome some of everything on the site, so I earn points pretty quickly. But my husband ONLY clicks through emails and he has already earned two $50 gift cards to Amazon!

(Side note — I am ready to redeem for a gift card to Amazon today, and I am going to use it to buy the new Mickey Mouse Clubhouse: Mickey’s Adventures in Wonderland movie that came out today. K loves Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, so I am excited to get this video for her for FREE!!! By the way, if you are an Amazon shopper, you can support this blog by clicking through the Amazon link in the far right column to do your regular shopping. It won’t cost you anything, but I will get a referral fee - hint hint!)

Since becoming a member of MyPoints, I have redeemed points (more than 30,000!) for gift cards to Old Navy, Gap, Amazon, Pottery Barn Kids, Target and more! Are you ready to start earning free gift cards? If so, you can go to MyPoints directly, or ask me to send you my referral link. If you sign up through my referral link (which I am happy to email to you) we will BOTH earn 250 bonus points! So, let me know when you are ready to start earning!!!!
