Disney Junior’s Yo Ho, Let’s Go Summer returns June 4, 2012 with all new episodes of Jake and the Never Land Pirates, Doc McStuffins and other favorites plus online activities, the chance to be on TV and two all-new apps. And the preschooler in my house has been counting down the days!
Sure Jake and Doc are the hottest shows on the block for kids 2-5 years old, but they aren’t the only shows airing new programming for the kiddos this summer. Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, Octonauts and Jungle Junction are also back this summer with new episodes. Beginning Friday, June 15, new episodes of Disney Junior favorites will air every Friday throughout the summer on both the Disney Channel during the Disney Junior programming block (8:30 a.m., ET/PT) and the Disney Junior channel (5:30 p.m., ET/PT). During each episode premiere, kids will see a featured Disney Junior character of the day and can go online to DisneyJunior.com/Summer to unlock a new game based on that character.
Kids and their parents can also log on to DisneyJunior.com/Summer this summer to print pictures of their favorite Disney Junior characters to take along with them and include in photos of their summer adventures. Parents can then upload the photos of their child with their character for the chance to be seen on Disney Junior. The site will also feature a printable summer scrapbook, with new pages added each week through August 24. (K doesn’t even know what a scrapbook is, but keeps telling me how excited she is about this!)
If you have an iPad, your kiddos will also love the recently launched iOS apps, the “Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Road Rally” appisode and “Jake’s Never Land Pirate School” gaming app for iPad, iPhone and iPod touch. Guess what I am off to download for my Disney-crazed girl!
Disney Junior programming is number one in our house. If you aren’t familiar with these shows, check them out. K loves them all!
My boys wanted to be on TV and submit their drawings on Summer Yo Ho but I had difficulties in uploading as they said I wasnt eligible for it. Im not sure why. Im disappointed and my boys are, too.
