Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party Will Put A Spell On You

Well Disney has done it again. Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party was made even better (who knew that was possible?!) by the addition of a brand new stage show during the Magic Kingdom’s Halloween celebration. Not just any stage show, this one featured my favorite Halloween movie of all time — Hocus Pocus. And oh, the Hocus Pocus Villain Spectacular is magical!

The Sanderson sisters take the stage in all of their fabulous glory, and although not Bette, Sarah and Kathy, these gals rocked the show. Perfectly capturing movie quotes, gestures and even facial expressions. From the moment the sisters walked on the stage the crowd was ecstatic.

And then…

The other villains took the stage — it just kept getting better. Calling upon the best of the worst villains to complete their spell the sister’s were visited by the shadow man, Dr. Facilier, from Princess and the Frog followed by the unsuspected arrival of Oogie Boogie from Nightmare Before Christmas and finally Maleficent.

But the parade of villains didn’t stop there. Maleficent called upon more badies to lend their talents to the potion as Evil Queen, Hades, Cruella De Vil, Captain Hook, Jafar, Lady Tremaine joined the evil merriment.

Finally the show ended exactly how I hoped with “I Put a Spell on You,” and I am not afraid to admit I was singing and dancing along. Sure, I might have gotten a giggle from my daughters, but I wasn’t the only fan singing. The audience was just as thrilled as I was.

The new Hocus Pocus Villain Spectacular show is without a doubt my favorite castle show to date.

During Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party there are four showings of Hocus Pocus Villain Spectacular at 8, 9:20, 10:45 and 12 am.

Hocus Pocus Villain Spectacular is the newest must-see entertainment, but it isn’t the only one. Also unique to Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party is the Boo-To-You parade at 8:35 and 11:15. And stick around for Celebrate the Magic at 9:45 and Happy HalloWishes at 10 pm.

In between the shows there is plenty of time to run “amok, amok, amok” and enjoy the rest of the fun Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party has to offer after dark.
