Minion Birthday Party Ideas

So your little minion wants to have a Minion birthday party? So did my friend’s daughter, and she went all out on the cutest little Minion party you’ve ever seen. If you are looking for Minion birthday party ideas, there are plenty of great ones from her party.

I have to start with the centerpiece of the party — the Minion Birthday Cake. It doesn’t hurt that my friend is an uber talented baker because this Minion cake is incredible. Years ago she made me this Minnie Mouse birthday cake, and her talent has only grown since then. Fondant and many hours of love went into this cake. Oh, and the best part — it was a banana cake! So perfect.

All of the party food was themed, and there were are tons of cute references to the Despicable Me movies including Anti-Gravity Serum, Cookie Robots, Agnes’ Caterpillars, Macho’s Nachos and Secret Salsa, Gru’s Shrunken Moons and more.

Everywhere party guests looked little Minions stared back. Paper Minion googles make it easy to turn any yellow party decoration into a Minion.

The kids had a great time climbing in and out of the Box of Shame, which made a funny photobooth. I managed to snap a picture of all of the kid guests and even a few adults in the Box of Shame.

Minion Party Favor Ideas

At the end of the party, each of the kids was sent home with an adorable handmade Minion Party Hat. (In case you are wondering, the eye is made out of a canning lid.)

The kids also took home a Minion goody bag (also available from Amazon) with a Minion placement. Other Minion party favor ideas include:
