Strawberry White Wine Slushie

tsm 2

Do you ever want to quickly and easily whip up a fancy frozen drink for yourself after a long day or for girlfriends for an impromptu get together? I do, but as much as I like fancy frozen drinks I don’t have the time and don’t typically keep the right ingredients in the house. Let me introduce you to the Strawberry White Whine Slushie. It is the easiest frozen drink you can make with just four ingredients — ones you might have in the house right now.

Easy, quick, delicious and you can impress your friends – that’s my kind of cocktail.

Strawberry White Wine Slushie

This secret to making the strawberry white wine slushie so easy is a little bit of prep work. But don’t worry, if you don have time for the prep work you can still make this drink right now (see alternate method). If you do have time to do a little prep work, then you can enjoy five evenings of this strawberry white wine slushie with just a whirl of the blender.

Ingredients

  • 1 bottle of dry riesling
  • 1 pint of strawberries
  • 1 tablespoon of lemon juice
  • 4 packets of Sweet’N Low

Wine Slushie Ingredients
Directions

Clean and hull the strawberries.

Reserve 1 ⅔ cup of riesling, re-cork the bottle and keep chilled.

Combine strawberries, riesling, lemon juice and Sweet’N Low in a blender. Pour mixture into two ice-cube trays. Freeze until solid.

When you are ready to make a single strawberry white wine slushie blend 6 strawberry/wine ice cubes with ⅓ cup of remaining wine.

Or to make strawberry white wine slushies for your friends combine all of the strawberry/wine ice cubes with the remaining wine to serve five.

Let’s say you want to have a strawberry white wine slushie right now (who wouldn’t?). Simply substitute frozen strawberries for fresh.

To make a single drink reserve 1 ⅓ cup of riesling, and blend the rest of the ingredients. After pouring yourself a glass, freeze the remaining mixture to save. Next time you are ready for a strawberry white wine slushie blend six cubes with ⅓ cup of wine and enjoy.

Super easy right? The strawberry white wine slushie is a great way to unwind with a quick, but fancy frozen cocktail.
