An Easy Way To Brush Dog Teeth – Milk-Bone Brushing Chews

Our dogs are our first babies. I even admit that before we had kids I was that girl who carried our dogs around in a dog bag (you know – like a purse). The days of having time to think about matching collars and sweaters (oh yes, true story) have long past, I am too busy making sure the kids have matching shoes. But our dogs are still our babies, so keeping the happy and healthy will always be a priority. This post is sponsored by Lunchbox. All opinions are my own.

Yorkies Milk Bone
Just the other night as my husband inspected Bear’s teeth before brushing them he said, “I regret not taking better care of their teeth.” Yorkies (and other small dogs) have notoriously bad teeth, and although he brushes the dogs’ teeth once a week on bath day, a daily teeth brushing just isn’t in the cards.

I smiled at him and handed him a box of Milk-Bone Brushing Chews. “How about we start with these,” I said.

Milk-Bone Brushing Chews taste (and smell) like a treat, but while your pooch the chews are working at their teeth brushing them clean. In fact, Milk-Bone Brushing Chews are clinically proven to be as effective as brushing! Now that’s an easy way to give the dogs a daily teeth brushing!

Milk Bone Brushing Chews
Milk-Bone Brushing Chews are designed with nubs and ridges to help clean like bristles on a toothbrush and makes daily oral care a treat. A special 75 degree twist even helps clean down to the gumline and hard to reach back teeth.

Last time Bear had to have a cleaning at the vet (an expensive process), she lost three teeth. So we know how important it is to keep her teeth clean, and if improving her oral health is as simple as giving her a Brushing Chew that tastes like a treat I am happy to do so. After all, brushing their teeth with a toothbrush isn’t fun.

In addition to getting cleaner teeth and reducing up to 80% of tartar build up, Milk-Bone Brushing Chews are fortified with 12 essential vitamins and minerals, including calcium to help support strong bones and teeth. It’s an all around win-win situation for our dogs health.

And what do our dogs think of Milk-Bone Brushing Chews? Both of our dogs found a nice shady spot to chew, and the chews received the tail-wagging seal of approval.

Brushing Chews
Milk-Bone Brushing Chews come in two sizes mini for dogs 5-24 lbs (like our dogs) and small/medium for dogs 25-74 lbs.

  1. We just took our dog to the vet for his annual checkup, and she recommended that we make an appointment to get his teeth cleaned. All I could see was dollar signs flying out the window. These Milk Bone Brushing Chews might be worth a try, and the dog would surely like them better than another trip to the vet! And I’d like to save the money, too. Thanks for the review.

  2. These are great to help keep their teeth clean. A lot easier than brushing them yourself, which is what my mom did to our dog when I was growing up! 🙂
