The Boxtrolls Explore What Makes a Family?

tsm 2

The Boxtrolls comes out in theaters tomorrow! If you haven’t seen the commercials for this zany world of unique characters, then let me tell you, the movie looks really cute. Every time a commercial comes on in my house it is met with a chorus of, “I wanna see that!”

In a world where Boxtrolls are very misunderstood, The Boxtrolls find a young boy and take him in as one of their own. Although the rest of the world sees him as a boy, he sees himself as a proud Boxtroll. Check out this featurette about what makes a family.

About The Boxtrolls

From the creators of Coraline and Paranorman, The Boxtrolls introduces movie audiences to a new breed of family – a community of quirky, mischievous creatures who have lovingly raised an orphaned human boy named Eggs in the amazing cavernous home they’ve built beneath the streets of Cheesebridge. When the town’s villain comes up with a plot to get rid of The Boxtrolls, Eggs decides to venture above ground, “into the light,” where he meets and teams up with the fabulously feisty Winnifred. Together, they devise a daring plan to save Eggs’ family.
