Back To School Looks With JCPenney

TSM-PP

It’s official, I am raising a shopper. The same kid who whined and complained a year ago when I begged her to try on clothes has now changed her tone to, “I wanna go shopping.”

Lucky for her I have been happy to oblige over the last few weeks as she has outgrown all over her clothes, again, and it was time for a wardrobe overhaul for back to school. Armed with one of the many recent JCPenney coupons I have posted we headed out to JCPenney for some back-to-school basics.

JCPenney Back To School Looks

We found tons of cute clothes for K’s new Kindergarten look, and even a few cute things for baby sis that we couldn’t leave behind. (Mom’s a sucker!)

K is currently in that in-between size, so she can shop in the little kids and the big kids sections offering her tons of options. Luckily I was able to narrow her down to a few key items – a dress, a short-sleeve top, a long-sleeve top and a skirt.

My favorite of our picks is this navy blue lace skirt that she can wear with both tops we bought and tons of tops already in her wardrobe. With built-in shorts underneath, I don’t even have to reminder her to put on bloomers. Perfect for school play. (Plus it was on sale for $8!)

I was surprised to find a Carter’s striped polo dress in a 6T. For my dress-loving girl, we had to have it. (The colors are more true in my picture than the stock photo below, bright and preppy!)

A basic t-shirt with a fun lace detail, this purple top is perfect for PE days.

I can’t find a stock image of the long-sleeve shirt, but it is also a basic t-shirt (long-sleeve) with some girly-flowers screen printed on it.

At the end of our shopping trip, I spent approximately $35 on six pieces (two for baby sister not pictured). And while searching for stock images on JCPenney.com, I found several more cute items. I am trying to resist, but the cuteness is high and the price is low.

K looks stylish in her new clothes from JCPenney. In fact, just this morning I sent her off to school in her purple tee.
