Family Movie Night (And Extra Cuddles) With Netflix

This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of Netflix.

I am a cuddler. I can’t get enough snuggles from my girls. But my girls are always busy, there’s only one way to slow them down — the TV.

Ok I admit it. I use TV time to sneak in extra cuddles.

With the whole family snuggling on the couch for family movie night, the challenge is to find something for everyone to enjoy. We have drawers full of DVDs, but we all grow tired of the same movies. So when the familiar I-want-to-watch-something-new whine begins its time for Netflix.

movie night

Netflix recently launched a new family site filled with great ideas for family time. From new titles to classics there have always been tons of great choices with Netflix, and now movies and shows are better organized for family viewing to entertain almost any audience.

  • Family Movie Night
  • TV For Curious Kids
  • Are We There Yet? Great Titles To Take On Vacation
  • Classics To Share With Your Kids
  • Get Ready For Preschool
  • Quite Time
  • Catch-Up TV For Busy Parents
  • Show Your Kids The World
  • Superhero Movies For You And Your Teens
  • Movies Based On Bestsellers

Netflix Family Favorites

The best part about the new Family Favorites page from Netflix is that it is filled with great ideas. No need to think of a great movie and go out and get it, just check Netflix to find inspiration. “Family Movie Night” and “Are We There Yet” are filled with great movies to share like Dumbo, The Lorax, Air Buddies, Scooby-Doo and more.

And for inquiring minds, I love the “TV for Curious Kids” and “Show Your Kids The World” categories that includes shows from National Geographic, Discovery and Disneynature animals, the ocean, space and the world around us.

Of course my daughter’s favorites like Strawberry Shortcake and My Little Pony are also available — any time we need them.

Plus Netflix is available anywhere you have an Internet connection, which means you can take all of the family selections with you where ever your summer travels may take you without lugging along extra equipment — just your laptop or iPad (which you were taking anyway, right?).

Kindergarten will be here in a few short weeks, and we will have to say goodbye to summer. But for now, we are enjoying staying up a little late with a few extra cuddles and plenty of choices from Netflix.

Family Movie Night With Netflix

Netflix.com/Families is a new destination designed to meet your family’s summertime entertainment needs. On Netflix.com/Families, parents can find lists of movies and TV shows for all kinds of special summer moments.

Visit www.Netflix.com/Families for more information on the best ways to stream as well as videos from families using Netflix.

We LOVE Netflix. All last school year, that is what I turned on in my grandson room and he has many of his favorite programs he’d watch while eating his breakfast before school. Whatever it takes, get that cuddle time. They grow too quickly

The only thing I subscribe to for watching television is Netflix.what could be better than being able to search the website, add movies to your instant Q,and be able to know what your kids are watching.there are so many great movies from even as far back as the 50’s.great going Netflix!

I’ve never had Netflix – no TV or other devices to play it on. Looks like good stuff for kids. Perhaps someday…

It is so nice to have family time for sure. It is nice to watch a movie with the kids and let everyone relax especially on hot days. I never had Netflix either but it would be nice. Thanks for sharing.

Our girls love Netflix! We use the Wii to stream it on our t.v. We use it for family movie night as well. Special treats (popcorn and Twizzlers are our favorite) go hand in hand with Netflix!
